Transcend JetDrive Lite 64 GB and 128 GB Expansion Cards for MacBook

 

    Transcend has just released the JetDrive Lite storage expansion cards for MacBook Pro with retina display and MacBook Air. The storage expansion cards are available in four different models with 64 GB and 128 GB capacities.

    The cards are designed specifically for MacBook. They have a flush type design and the cards fit into the slots completely and do not project out of the MacBook like SD card do. They also give high storage capacity and lots of high quality photos, songs, HD videos and many documents can be stored in them. These expansion cards are manufactured with MLC NAND flash chips and have good read and write speeds, increasing their efficiency. The reading is 95 MB/s speed and writing speed is 60 MB/s which are quite remarkable. Transcend's JetDrive Lite expansion cards have a built-in ECC (error correction code), which automatically corrects any transfer errors, and works on a wear-leveling for long-life operation.

    The 64 GB card costs 49$ (US) and the 128 GB card costs 99$ (US). Transcend offers a limited lifetime warrant for the expansion cards.
