Have you just changed your phone from an Android device to an iPhone? And you do not know how to transfer contacts from your Android device to your new iPhone? Here in this this article I have addressed this issue. After you go through this article, you will have learnt how to transfer contacts from your old Android phone to your new iPhone. It is easy as eating a piece of cake. There’s no risk involved and you it won’t take much of your time either. So, let us begin.
Since, you already owned an Android phone, you might already
know that you can sync your Android phone with your Google account. So even if
you lose your contacts, you can always get them back from your Google account. So
make sure you have backed up your contacts to your Google account. To do this,
go to Settings, under the Accounts section tap on Add Account, enter your Gmail
account details and finally enable synchronization (You do not have to do this,
if you already have a Gmail account associated with your account). If you
already had an account added, make sure that the contacts have been
synchronized.
After you have made sure that you have your contacts backed
up, pick up your new iPhone and go to Settings
> Mail, Contacts, Calendars and
add your Gmail account. See to that you have enabled Contacts for the account.
You’ll now find all your Google accounts in your iPhone.
To make sure that you have made this permanent, so that your
new iPhone contacts get synchronized with Google, perform the following steps.
- Tap open Settings on your iPhone.
- Select Mail,Contacts,Calenders and then tap on Add Account and then select Other.
- Now Select Add CardDAV Account.
- Fill out the following information in the respective fields.
Server : google.com
User Name : Enter your Gmail address.
Password : Account password.
Description: Give a description (e.g. Personal Contacts).
5. Tap Next . Make sure that Contacts
option is ON.
6. Open the Contacts app on your
iPhone. Your Contacts will start syncing with Google.
Now when you change your smartphone, you can use your Google
account to get all your contacts. This is how you can transfer your contacts
from an Android phone to an iPhone. I hope you found this information helpful.
