Huawei raised the curtain on its new smartphone, the Ascend P7 recently. The smartphone is similar to Apple’s iPhone both internally as well as externally. Externally it has the look of an iPhone 5. The phone is covered with the latest Gorilla glass from Corning and beneath the rear glass is made of different layers to make it eye catchy.
It is very slim just about 6.5 mm thick and is very comfortable to hold and more amazingly, it has a 5-inch screen beating the iPhone any day. It has a version of Android KitKat 4.4.2 installed and it is customized in a way that it looks very nearly similar to iPhone. The ‘EmotionUI’( Huawei’s Android interface ) has a look very different from the usual Android OS and looks very similar to iOS. Usually Android phones have a number of home screens where widgets and other application shortcuts can be arranged and a master app grid that shows all the installed apps on the phone. But in the Ascend P7, all the apps are spread across the home screens just like in an iPhone.
The Apple inspired Ascend P7 has a full HD resolution. The cameras too are just outstanding. The front camera having 8MP definitely will provide a better video calling experience as well as good quality selfies. And at the rear it has a 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash and 1080 pixel video recording at 30 fps.
It also has Dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and DLNA, GPS, Bluetooth v4, 16GB internal memory, Standard 3.5mm audio jack, 2,500mAh battery, etc. the battery has long life but the only disadvantage is that it is non-exchangeable.
The Ascend P7 will be released to the world in a week and don’t forget to check it out and be amazed!
