It was announced on Monday (4th Aug) by 2K games on twitter that the classic first person shooter video game, BioShock will soon be available for download to iPhone and iPad users. Their announcement on twitter was “Prepare to return to Rapture! BioShock is soon coming to iOS devices“.
2K Games made it clear that BioShock will only be compatible with iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad Mini 2, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and later versions. The previous versions of the above mentioned iOS devices will not be able to run the game. The PC version of the game was a major hit during its release and this news about the game coming to iOS devices will surely make many gamers happy.
BioShock also has bagged a good number of awards too. This is the first time that a game from the BioShock Franchise is coming to a portable device. Sequels of the game; Bioshock2 and BioShock infinite were released in the later years for PC but 2K Games has not mentioned anything about the sequels coming to iOS devices yet.
The plot is about a guy named Jack, who is the only survivor of a plane crash while flying over the Atlantic Ocean during the year 1960. This leads him to find the underwater city called Rapture. And there begins his adventure. He gets super human powers, acquires many weapons and a lot more.
A game worthy of everyone’s IOS device, I should say. The release date has not yet been announced and 2K says that it will be a ‘premium priced mobile game’. It is expected to arrive before the end of the year. So don’t miss out on the BioShock fun and get the game as soon as it released for iOS devices and let’s visit Rapture again.
